Two rival fixers cross paths when they are both called upon to help cover up a mistake by a famous New York City official. In one explosive night, they’ll have to put aside their petty grievances and their egos to finish the job. Sony, Lionsgate, Apple and Netflix went to war over the film package before Apple sealed the deal. Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who are both developing the film through their own production companies, are reportedly spending less to negotiate a theatrical release with Apple. At the beginning of the film, George Clooney rips open a backpack unicorn with a knife, leaving the stuffed animal outside. . At the end of the movie, the unicorn is intact. Margaret (Amy Ryan) is the town’s DA with a problem. She brought a non-prostitute (Austin Abrams) back to her hotel room and he apparently died. She calls a special number for the fixer (George Clooney). It turned out that the hotel manager had also invited her cleaner (Brad Pitt). The meat and potatoes of watching Clooney and Pitt play off each other. While it’s fun, they’ve done it before and it’s old hat guys. I wish Amy Ryan was around, but they’re replacing her with Austin Abrams. There’s a really fun chase in the middle. I spend most of the movie trying to figure out the situation like Clooney. Ultimately my problem is that I don’t understand the whole scheme. Boys seem to understand whether we realize it or not. I am not convinced by this.
